SubjectToClimate
In this activity, students will count and compare sets of objects from nature after participating in a nature walk.
This activity calls for a nature walk and the collection of found items. If your students do not have access to a safe place for a nature walk, try out a virtual nature walk and collect the items before the activity. Alternatively, printable items have been provided as a last resort.
This activity has whole group and small group center work but is easily adaptable for your specific needs.
Human activities have disrupted natural ecosystems balance and it is causing irrevocable loss and damage. Students can learn about the essence of humans living in peace with nature. They will also be motivated to investigate how land use is changing rapidly in urban areas and to consider the value of green spaces and sustainable green infrastructure there. After reviewing all of the related supporting resources, we suggest using this task in the classroom.
