Summary
This six-week professional development program is a comprehensive online course supplying teachers with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement climate change instruction into their classrooms. This course will provide teachers with foundational learning around the causes and impact of climate change and global warming. The scaffolded, weekly learning modules also cover solutions to the climate crisis, the need for urgent action, and climate justice. Teachers will be introduced to resources to use in their classroom and tasked with developing their own climate literacy-based lesson plan. The course also includes three live webinars with subject matter experts.
