This four-week program is designed to enhance K-12 science teachers’ understanding of the factors that contribute to extreme weather events and how these events are linked to climate change. In accordance with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), teachers will receive in-depth guidance on how to teach about extreme weather events, specifically those that occur in their respective regions.
Presidio Graduate School is the world’s first graduate school to place sustainability at the center of every program they offer. In 2020, they identified a gap in teacher preparedness to teach climate literacy and launched a Climate Education for All program with the mission of providing all teachers with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to confidently educate the next generation on climate change science, causes, and solutions.
