This video discusses the more severe impacts that climate change will likely have on low-income and minority communities and the importance of finding solutions to these problems.
This video highlights climate inequality and how low-income and minority communities do not have the necessary resources to mitigate or adapt to the effects of climate change.
Prerequisites
Students should have basic knowledge about climate change terms and the causes and effects of climate change, as the video only discusses how the certain communities may be impacted.
Differentiation & Implementation
Students in social studies classes can discuss adaptation solutions for the communities identified in the video.
English language arts classes or science classes can research climate change effects in their local areas and write a blog to inform the public on the causes, current effects, and possible solutions.
